In 2017 winemaker Donald Patz (of Patz and Hall) decided to strike out on his own and start a brand that focuses solely on Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from the Russian River Valley. He'd been in the wine scene for quite a while, and his connections scored him access to some pretty coveted vineyards! Moonshine Ranch Vineyard is owned and managed by the Martinelli family, and is located very close to the Russian River itself.

The Moonshine Ranch Pinot Noir has the perfect balance of fruit, spice, and earth, exhibiting all the wonderful characteristics that make Russian River Pinots so popular. And oh, the nose - WOW! There's a lot to love in this wine. And with only 100 cases produced, we were lucky to have procured some! We're excited to offer this wonderful wine to you!

FROM THE WINERY

MOONSHINE RANCH – this beautiful Pinot Noir vineyard is owned and farmed by the Martinelli family. A combination of Clone 828 and “Pommard” making complex and balanced wines for us. A combination of two clones which were picked together and co-fermented – UCD 04 “Pommard” and Dijon Clone 828 (aka “Archery Summit” #2).
