Jean-Marc et Romain Pastou Sancerre Rouge 2022
Sancerre, Loire Valley, France
750 ml

This Pinot Noir from the Sancerre AOC of France is very unique and special! No oak is used in the vinification, only stainless steel; very unusual for Pinot Noir! This allows the true fruit flavors to shine through. Don’t assume this means the wine is thin and uninteresting – quite the opposite - it’s quite complex and delicious! – Wine Factor
FROM THE WINERY
The petite village of Sury-en-Vaux, north of the legendary Sancerre vineyard ‘Monts Damnés,’ is where you’ll find this extraordinary source of character-rich wines from the Loire Valley. The family Pastou maintains excellent flint-rich vineyards in Sancerre. The theme that runs through all the domaine’s wines is freshness: here, you can’t be but floored by the energy of native grapes from these remarkable terroirs. Pastou wines each vintage are light in alcohol, pure in flavor and a great pair with just about anything you put on the table.
