Frederic Magnien is a fifth-generation winemaker from Morey-Saint-Denis. As a negociant, he works closely with growers throughout the season, selecting older-vine parcels cared for to his exacting standards. His own teams pick grapes at harvest, a furthur qualitative decision. And so we see consistent excellent quality in his Burgundies. 

The Damodes vineyard is situated next to the Premier Cru vineyard of Vosne Romanée, at the northern edge of the Nuits Saint Georges appellation, just over "Les Boudots" vineyards. The vines are planted on a soil rich in hard limestone.
